Metal Garages Built to Take a Storm

Keep your cars and tools safe in a garage made from tough galvanized steel. It fights off rust and stands strong in storms. Skyline Metal Buildings sells and installs steel garages from Sevierville, Tennessee, across the Southeast, up the East Coast and out to West Texas.

What sizes do metal garages come in?

Most customers start with a one-car, two-car or three-car footprint, but a steel garage is really built to order. Width, length, leg height and door placement are all chosen when you design it, so a garage can be sized for a lifted truck, a boat on a trailer, or a full shop bay with room to walk around. Tell us what you need to park inside and we will size it with you.

Why choose steel over a wood-framed garage?

A galvanized steel frame does not rot, warp, or feed termites, and the panel roof sheds rain and snow instead of soaking it up. There is no siding to repaint every few years. Because the parts are manufactured and then assembled on your site, a metal garage typically goes up far faster than a stick-built one and costs less for the same covered space.

Can I customize the look of my garage?

Yes. You pick the roof style, the roof and trim colors, the wall colors, the number and size of roll-up doors, and where walk-in doors and windows go. Vertical-roof designs are popular in snow country because they shed better. The free 3D builder lets you see every choice before you commit, or Nathan can walk through the options with you on the phone.

What do I need to prepare before my garage is installed?

A level site is the main requirement. Your quote spells out what the installation crew needs when they arrive. If you send a photo of the spot with your quote request, we can flag grading or access problems before they cost you time.

Metal Garages: common questions

Do metal garages need a concrete slab?

Not always. Many garages are anchored to a concrete pad, but they can also be installed on other level bases. Tell us what your site has and we will recommend the right anchoring for it.

Are metal garages insulated?

Insulation is an option you can add when you order. If you plan to heat, cool or work in the garage year round, ask us about it when we put your quote together.

How long does installation take?

Most residential garages are installed in a day or two once the crew is on site. The schedule from order to install depends on manufacturing lead time and weather, and we will give you an estimated window with your quote.
